“2, 3 days ago, I saw the Ho Duy Hai case again, at first I was happy but after the medical report, I did not understand how” – said Ms. Chien.
According to Nguyen Thanh Chan’s wife, the incident surprised her.
“I don’t know what is right and what is wrong, I do not know how to avoid it. What exactly are the right people who are right and wrong,” he said.
Speaking about her family’s case, Ms. Chien said she could prove that at the time of the incident, Mr. Chan was always with her and there was no quick murder.
With thoughts like Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chan’s wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, death row wife Han Duc Long (Bac Giang) acknowledges that, according to subjective thinking, there should be nothing to complain about.
“Yesterday I saw the image of her (Ho Duy Hai’s mother – pv) cried with impatience, heartbreaking for her too.
Ms. Mai and Mr. Han Duc Long also shared, if it was clear, no one would complain.

Speaking about the Ho Duy Hai case, the person who once carried the death sentence that Han Duc Long shared, knew about this case from his time in prison in Bac Giang through the press.
“I am a person who understands the law in a limited way, but I think there must be something that is not clear when people are applying, but if it is clear, no one will cry,” Long said.
With these two families, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chan was unjustly imprisoned for 10 years. Only when the culprit actually surrendered will he be released. Han Duc Long was sentenced to death by the trial court in the Bac Giang rape and murder of children case in 2005.
Lawyer Tran Hong Phong disagreed with the decisions of the Council of Judges of the Supreme People’s Court
After more than 11 years in prison for rape, murder not caused by himself, on December 20, 2016, Mr. Han Duc Long was released.
Going back to the Ho Duy Hai case, according to lawyer Tran Hong Phong, who previously defended, now legal assistance for Hai to share, according to the provisions of the 2015 Code of Criminal Procedure, there are still sequences, that is to reconsider the decision of the Cassation Review Panel.
In cases where the trials of the cassation panels are unfair or impartial, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly may request a reconsideration. Secondly, the President of the Judicial Committee of the National Assembly or the President of the Supreme Court of the People’s Court and the Head of the People’s Prosecutor’s Office can request a review.
“I do not agree with the decisions of the Council of Judges of the Supreme People’s Court. The decision to make the decisions of the Cassation Review Panel is completely contrary to the opinion of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate” – Mr. Phong said.
