The People’s Committee of the City of Can Tho has just published a report on the resolution of opinions and recommendations of the voters before and after the 17th session of the IX People’s Council of the City, period 2016-2021.
Accordingly, the People’s Committee of the City reports on the results of the review and management of slow implementation projects on both sides of the Vo Van Kiet highway and projects in Long Hoa district (Binh Thuy district, Can city Tho.). Specifically, the region has four ongoing projects.

Project of a new urban area on both sides of Vo Van Kiet street (zone 9) approved by the Popular Committee of the City for the Joint Venture of GD Land Company Limited and CADICO Joint Stock Company as an investor in Decision 262/2019 with a total project area of approximately 30.04 hectares.
The total investment of the project is approximately VND 465 billion. The time to implement the temple project is the end of the 4-2023 quarter. The investor has deposited the project execution guarantee for an amount of VND 9,300 million. Currently, the project has approved the detailed plan 1/500 and is implementing the following steps.
New urban area project on both sides of Vo Van Kiet street (zone 4) approved by the People’s Committee of the City for the association of Pham Tri One Member Limited Company and CADICO Joint Stock Company as an investor in Decision 1180/2019 with an area of approximately 12.9 hectares.
The total investment of the project is approximately 520 billion VND. Project execution time until quarter 4-2022. The investor has deposited the guarantee of execution of the project with the amount of 4.7 billion dong. Currently, the Binh Thuy District People’s Committee is considering and approving the detailed 1/500 plan to implement the next steps.
In the two previous projects, the investor agrees to ensure the progress of the implementation in accordance with the approved guidelines.

Residential project of the Binh Thuy neighborhood (Warehouse 301) approved the investment policy in 2003 with an area of 150.5 ha and the extension approved the adjusted policy in 2016 with an area of 10.74 ha, invested by Ngan Thuan Construction Company Limited.
So far, it is expected to have 100% free space. Regarding investment in technical infrastructure, the road system reached 86%, the trees reached 100%, the pavement reached 30%, the electricity supply reached 12%, the lighting reached 40% (the expansion was completed to 100%. ). Regarding social infrastructure, the administrative area has been built, the rest is under construction.
To accelerate the implementation of the project, the Popular Committee of the City has issued a written request to the investor to focus resources on investment in the project’s technical infrastructure until the end of December 2021.
Cuu Long Urban – Resettlement Project Invested by Cuu Long Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company, it was approved to adjust the detailed planning 1/500 in 2014 and 2018 with a total project area of 55.79 hectares. In which, the area of free space to the ground is 46.42 ha, the rest 9.37 ha are existing residential lands for self-improvement.
According to the Popular Committee of the City, so far the project has been implemented very slowly, it has not been implemented as promised to the city. Specific progress includes site cleanup at approximately 58%, technical infrastructure such as roads reaching 57.28%, purchase water drainage reaches 66.02%, domestic drainage reaches 62.63%, the water supply reached. 5.8%, medium voltage electricity 13.8% … The social infrastructure is not built yet.
In recent years, the City’s People’s Committee has directed functional agencies to work with investors to accelerate the project’s progress, but so far there haven’t been many improvements.
More recently, on September 24, 2020, the Popular Committee of the City sent an official letter requesting the investor to urgently complete the clean-up work of the site, reconcile the investment in infrastructure elements in the area that cleared the land; Urgently complete the technical infrastructure, carry out the issuance of certificates of land use and home ownership in the places where the foundations for resettlement are available until the end of quarter 1-2021.
