Also according to Mr. Khiem, due to the influence of Typhoon No. 5, heavy rains will accumulate in central Vietnam from the afternoon of September 17 to the night of September 18 with very heavy rains, in a short time . Regarding the evacuation plan, Mr. Luan said: According to the plan, Quang Binh to Da Nang provinces have plans to evacuate more than 1 million people with the 10-11 level storm scenario. Currently, the provinces continue to review and update their evacuation plans in accordance with the actual developments of the storm.

“Thua Thien Hue province is expected to allow students to leave school from the morning of September 18, other localities have not had a specific plan,” Luan said.

For hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs, Mr. Luan reported: hydroelectric reservoirs from Thanh Hoa to Quang Nam (37 lakes) currently the lake water level is low, many lakes are close to the dead water level in normal operation. .

Currently, there are 58 damaged lakes without water storage; 56 lakes are under construction. Therefore, special attention should be paid to these irrigation reservoirs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong suggested that the Border Guard, the General Department of Fisheries, should coordinate with localities to notify and urge the boats still operating in the area.
