Hung Yen registered the first positive case of SARS-CoV-2, he was a lecturer working in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong.
Test results at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases confirmed that Mr. Đ.CL, 38, residing in Tu Ho Village, Yen Phu Commune, Yen My District, Hung Yen, tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. This is the first case of Covid-19 in Hung Yen province from January 28 to the present.
Mr. L. is a professor at the Faculty of Industry and Commerce, based in Lai Cach City, Cam Giang District, Hai Duong Province.
Mr. L. had returned to his hometown for 1 month, on January 27, met with four colleagues from the same school, went to Van Giang district to see quat.
On January 28, he and his friends brought kumquats to school in Hai Duong, met with the faculty, and then returned home to Tu Ho village.
On February 6, he appeared to have an erratic febrile cough, so he went to the Thien An Clinic in Khoai Chau District, Hung Yen for a visit, and discovered pneumonia.
On February 8, he continued to go to Lung Central Hospital to check for a cough, sputum and a sore throat. Due to a history of epidemiology, the patient was examined, sampled, tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 the first time, and transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases for isolation and reassessment.
As of this morning, test results at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases confirmed that patient L. was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Initially, authorities verified 13 F1 and 15 F2 cases, disinfected with sprinklers, and established checkpoints in Yen Phu commune.
