Bphone B86 was launched by Bkav on May 10, attracting attention for the “keyless” design, the waterproof IP68 +, the computer still camera … Another detail being debated is the Snapdragon 675 chip in this device.
Some users expect Bkav to integrate the 700 series processor. However, according to CEO Nguyen Tu Quang, Snapdragon 675 is the optimal choice for Bphone B86 and the actual numbers have shown this.
Snapdragon 675 – “not a medium”
Introduced in 2018, the Snapdragon 675 is the first Qualcomm line to use the Kryo 460 architecture, consisting of two Kryo 460 cores clocked at 2 GHz and six Kryo 460 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. This is currently the flagship chip of the Snapdragon 600 series.
Compared to the previous Snapdragon 670, the new generation used in Bphone B86 offers 30% faster game download speed, 35% increase in web browsing, 15% faster social media … Even The Snapdragon 675 is a little better, too. line 710 or 712 that is classified in the previous segment.
Numbers and facts prove
Performance scores with AnTuTu, Snapdragon 675 reached 89,000. Compared to the higher Snapdragon 765 chip (98,000 AnTuTu points), the result on Bphone B86 is only 10% lower. In contrast, Snapdragon 675 has higher scores than the 710, 712, and even 835 series.
“If you are not a gaming addict then Snapdragon 675 or 765 can take on heavy gaming with negligible performance,” Bkav CEO Nguyen Tu Quang explained of the choice of processor for the Bphone B86.
He also said that for professional gamers, even the Snapdragon 700 series doesn’t solve the problem. “You must use a specific gaming chip (800 series) to set the highest setting, otherwise this chip will be sold to anyone,” Quang said.
“To bring Vietnamese users a smartphone with all the good, but the price is reasonable, the Snapdragon 675 is the optimal choice,” concluded the chief of Bkav. “The amount of difference between the two chips we’ve invested in high-end features, providing a high-end experience as you all know.”
Bphone B86 compared to its rivals
At the price of VND 8.99 million, Bphone B86 will compete directly with Oppo Reno3 (same price) and Samsung Galaxy A70 (VND 9.29 million).
In particular, Samsung phones use chips as Bkav chose. Oppo is Helio P90, but according to some tests, it offers inferior performance to the Snapdragon 675. Not to mention that Bphone B86 uses Gorilla Glass, monolithic aluminum frame and has two IP 68+ waterproof products. Both have fake glass and plastic frames and backs.
Bkav will sell Bphone B86 and B86 starting May 17 at Bphone Store’s experienced stores and Mobifone stores across the country, priced at 8.99 million and 9.99 million dong, respectively. All customers will receive a premium JBL headset when ordering.
