On the afternoon of December 23, the Phu Nhuan District Police said there were no signs of explosives, and no exterior impact on the collapsed house on Nguyen Trong Tuyen Street.
The explosion occurred at dawn yesterday, with great destructive power caused by the industrial gas cylinder of the Cau Vong restaurant (renting the ground floor of the house).

Faced with the great devastation of the explosion, the investigation agency did not rule out the possibility of destructive acts, so it mobilized the Criminal Technical Department and many professional teams from the Ho Chi Minh City Police to investigate.
The collapsed house, owned by a 45-year-old man, was mired in many debts. Recently, he rented the ground floor to run a noodle shop, sometimes a group of people came to ask for money and threatened.
