Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online, said Mr. Pham Xuan Hai, Deputy Director of District 9 Medical Center (Ho Chi Minh City), K. testified to authorities after illegally entering copper smelting work on December 24. Since he returned from his illegal entry, K. did not use his phone so he was not aware of the information that was being traced.

So far, authorities have identified 17 people in close contact with K. All have been quarantined and tested in accordance with regulations.

K. is among the group of 6 people who entered Vietnam illegally in the early morning of December 24, including 1440 patient (Vinh Long), patient 1451 (District 5, HCMC), female name N. in Dong Thap (already have a positive result COVID-19 on the morning of December 29), a person named V. in district 1 and the person named T. in district Hoc Mon.

In this group of 6 people, less V. in district 1 and T. in district Hoc Mon the first result was negative for the new corona virus strain (SARS-CoV-2), the remaining 4 people tested positive.

In it, the first patient discovered was patient 1440. Later illegally entering Vietnam and returning home Mang Thit District, Vinh Long Province, was sent by a family member to testify and tested positive for COVID-19 on December 26.

Patient 1440 said he lived in Myanmar from September to mid-December 2020. On December 15, he left Myanmar, arrived in Mae Sot, Thailand, on December 16, and stayed in a hotel there until December 22 with five other people. .

On December 23, a group of 7 people from Thailand to Cambodia. After that, 6 of the group went from Cambodia to Vietnam. Upon reaching the territory of Vietnam, the group headed to Ho Chi Minh City in a 7-seater car (currently the authorities have found a car and driver).

Along the way, Patient 1440 and the woman in Dong Thap parted ways to go west, the rest continued to go to Ho Chi Minh City, including H. (who lives in District 5), V. (District 1) , T. (Hoc Subject) and K. (District 9).

After hearing that a 1440 patient tested positive for COVID-19, H. just published a medical report and obtained a sample to analyze, the results were also positive.

Through the tracing, authorities found T. and V. and took a sample to analyze, the first negative result. Particularly K. up to Just found December 28 at night.

K. said that since he returned, he lived in District 9 and worked for the bronze foundry where he worked 2 months ago, and did not know they were tracking him.

After finding K., the District 9 health department put K. along with people in close contact to quarantine at the same time block and disinfect K.’s residence and workplace.

According to reporters, on the morning of December 29, at the copper smelter and the inn where K. worked, there were more than a dozen police, militia and civil defense blockades.

During the epidemiological investigation, Mr. Pham Phuong Tung (40 years old, owner of the copper smelter where K. worked) said that about 2 months ago K. was working in the workshop but due to the effects of COVID-19, The facility it was temporarily closed, so K. went to work in Myanmar, but was not stable.

On the afternoon of December 24, K. returned to District 9, then took a motorcycle taxi to the workshop located in Nguyen Xien Street, Long Binh District, applied for a job and rented a room that is more than 100 meters from the factory at 4th Street, Long Binh District.

For two business days, December 25-26, K. simply ate and went to his room from work. On December 27, K. walked to the Go Cong junction, Long Binh district, approximately 1 km from the factory to find a photo shop but could not find it and returned to the accommodation.

On the night of December 28, when he saw the press publishing information about the search for a patient 1440, he got off the bus in Nguyen Xien Street, District 9, Mr. Tung appeared before the local police to isolate to K.
