On the night of February 10, HCDC asked those who came to the Adora Nguyen Kiem wedding restaurant on the night of January 30 to report on local health, due to a CoV infection.

The epidemiological investigation recorded “patient 2016” who came to restaurant No. 371 Nguyen Kiem to attend a wedding party in Sophia’s lobby from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on January 30.

The “patient 2016” with 2015 and 2014 is the father, mother and younger brother of “patient 2003”, cargo handling and supervision personnel at Tan Son Nhat airport, from VIAGS company.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), in the past 5 days, the city recorded 33 cases of infection related to outbreaks at Tan Son Nhat airport. Of which, 8 cases of Covid-19 were infected with the same work group for loading, unloading, ordering and supervision of luggage and cargo in the airport yard, 25 cases of contagion were family members, neighbors …

These are the cases discovered by taking samples to monitor all the employees working at the airport from January 30 to the present. HCDC believes this is a complicated outbreak because the source of infection and timing of onset have not been determined. The health sector is investigating and determining the source of transmission.

To ensure the safety of passengers passing through Tan Son Nhat airport, all personnel in contact with passengers are tested 24 hours before they can work the shift, with negative results for nCoV.

VIASG employees, even if they do not communicate with passengers, will receive detection samples one day in advance on the work shift. Separate groups of loading and unloading workers are tested daily. Currently, 1,561 households of VIAGS employees are also being screened.
