Information at the meeting said that the newly discovered positive case published this afternoon (patient 1347) was directly related to patient 1342 (announced on the afternoon of 29-11).

Previously, during isolation in the quarantine area administered by Vietnam Airlines (No. 115 Hong Ha, Hall 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) from November 14 to 18, patient 1342 had exposure to copper. flight (patient 1325).

After two negative tests, 1,342 patients were returned to isolation at the inn (P305, 3rd floor, 50 Bach Dang, ward 2, Tan Binh district). During isolation, this patient had direct contact with 3 people, including: mother and two friends (a man and a woman). In which the friend (SN 1988, resident in ward 3, district 6) came to live with him.

On November 28, samples were taken from the patient 3 times, giving a positive result.

Immediately, the previous 3 cases of direct contact were isolated and samples were taken for testing. In it, the male friend gave a positive result (patient 1347).

According to the initial epidemiological investigation of patient 1347, during the period of November 18 to 25, patient 1347 taught at the KEY English English Center (59 Nguyen Ba Tuyen, ward 12, Tan Binh district) and another branch in the district 10; to cafes and karaoke bars.

The total near exposure (F1) according to the baseline survey was 38 (isolated, sampled); The close contact case (F2) was 154 (of which 62 people in Tan Binh district and 92 people in district 10).

The director of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department said he continues to urgently track, isolate and sample cases related to the case.

At the meeting, the Minister of Health ordered the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to urgently track all F1 and F2 cases from the above cases; implement centralized isolation and sampling in all these cases.

At the same time, the Minister requested the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department to urgently notify people who went to places where patients are present (such as teaching places, cafes, karaoke bars) to communicate immediately with the medical authorities. closest; tTemporarily block the places where the patient has visited and perform antiseptic measures; All service personnel at patient service locations (such as cafes, karaoke) are required to take samples and request home isolation.

The Minister also called on all Ho Chi Minh City medical facilities to increase their level of surveillance, strengthen screening measures for all suspected cases; Strictly implement measures to prevent COVID-19 infection in health facilities in accordance with regulations.

The Ministry of Health, the permanent agency of the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19, requires Vietnam Airlines to comply with quarantine regulations at facilities that Vietnam Airlines has registered. People’s committees in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City, where Vietnam Airlines has registered for quarantine, closely control and monitor the quarantine process and prevent infection in the quarantine area.
