In addition, the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City approved and assigned to the People’s Committee of the City the name of 224 roads in the districts 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 12, Binh Thanh, Tan Binh, Tan Phu and Thu Duc . Districts of Nha Be, Binh Chanh and Cu Chi.

On 224 roads, there are 4 routes in the new urban area of ​​Thu Thiem (District 2). In particular, the name of professor and physician Nguyen Thien Thanh is given to the nearly 2.8 km long riverside road (R3).

Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh used to be the Vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the 7th National Assembly. He is the father of Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan – member of the Politburo, Head of the delegation of the City National Assembly.

Along with that, the city appointed To Huu (a famous poet who won many great prizes and served as vice president of the Council of Ministers) for the central road on the shores of the lake (R2) and part of the bank of the Saigon river (R3 ). 3km more.
