According to HCDC, these two cases were discovered as the city continued to conduct surveillance tests for 830 airport personnel who had not been previously evaluated.

One of the two cases was an employee of VIAGS Company (the company had 5 cases of COVID-19 being the patient: 1979, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) Y one is a Vietnam Airlines employee who used to monitor general patient cargo in 1979 on January 30 and 31.

Thus, as of 10 am 9-2, at Tan Son Nhat airport, there were 7 cases of COVID-19 with the same work group loading, unloading, disposing and supervising luggage and cargo in the airport yard .

There are also 25 infections related to airport personnel that were reported yesterday (patient 2014-2038).

Before that, upon receiving information about COVID-19 at the Van Don airport, the Steering Committee for the prevention of epidemics in Ho Chi Minh City held an urgent meeting and decided to take samples to monitor all the employees working at the Tan Son airport. Most of January 30.

To date, the city has analyzed a total of 8,130 samples and has detected 7 cases of corona virus infection mentioned above.

Currently, the city has taken a second surveillance sample for VIAGS employees and implemented daily tests for airport personnel before serving passengers the next business day.
