After another man berated his wife, Lo Van Cung (from Dien Bien) caused a brutal murder in Hanoi.
Today (December 24), the Hanoi City People’s Court sentenced Lo Van Cung (SN 1990, in Dien Bien) to 7 years in prison for murder.
Before that, Cung and his wife, Luong Thuy Hien (SN 1990) and a group of bricklayers from Dien Bien came to Thach Hoa Commune, Thach That District, Hanoi to build construction sites.

On the night of June 22, a group of bricklayers, including Mr. Dang Manh Hung (SN 1974, Dien Bien) dined at the inn.
At that time, Hung and the defendant’s wife had conflicts and fights. With words back and forth, Hung stood up and slapped Hien across the face. Seeing his wife being slapped, Cung began to assault Mr. Hung.
Being discouraged by everyone, the fight did not happen. After that, Cung and his wife went to their room to rest, while Mr. Hung and some other people went out to drink water.
Around 10:30 PM on the same day, upon returning to the inn and seeing Cung sitting at the door of his smoking room, Mr. Hung called Cung to speak and resolve the dispute.
When the two were talking, Mr. Hung suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed Cung in the stomach, causing him a penetrating wound.
Suddenly attacked, the accused ran into the inn room, took the scissors to cut the iron, turned to “welcome” Mr. Hung.
As Mr. Hung fled, the accused pursued him. The bow shot at the head knocked Mr. Hung down. The bow also added more scissors to the forehead, causing the victim to collapse.
Before leaving, the defendant repeatedly kicked Mr. Hung’s head, face, back and stomach.
After committing the crime, Cung returned to the inn room and informed everyone that he had beaten the victim to death.
Seeing that Cung was bleeding heavily in the abdomen, people took the defendant to hospital for treatment.
Mr. Hung died at the scene due to serious injuries. According to the conclusion of the forensic examination, the cause of death was a severe traumatic brain injury.
