On November 20, Can Tho City VKSND issued an indictment to prosecute Tran Thanh Tam (SN 1973; lives in Nhon Nghia Commune, Phong Dien District, Can Tho City) for “murder”.
Tam and his wife, Ms Le Thi My H. (44 years old), practice ferries at Muong Ngang Pier in Nhon Ai Commune. On the afternoon of September 21, after returning from drinking beer, Tam went to the home of Mr. Tran Thanh Vu (who lives in the same village) to ask for money owed to him.

As he spoke, Mr. Vu told Tam that he saw his wife enter a neighbor’s house that Mr. NVT was in front of Vu’s. Suspecting that his wife was having an affair with Mr. T., Tam went to the dock to meet his wife and ask her, but Mrs. H. would not admit it.
Angry mind hit his wife, so Mrs. H. left. On the evening of the same day, when Ms. H. returned, Tam continued to ask about having a relationship with Mr. T. Upon seeing her husband aloud, Ms. H. ran out into the street.
Tam chased and wrestled with Ms. H, hitting her many times in the face, grabbed his wife’s head, and went outside. Until he saw Mrs. H. unconscious, Tam stopped.
Ms. H. was taken to the emergency room but died before being admitted to the hospital.
