While still alive, the elderly woman often suffered abuse of her only biological child – Image cropped from clip
On September 8, Colonel Thai Huu Duc – Can Duoc District Police Chief, Long An Province – said that the local police invited the woman in the video of the old man’s violence to work, causing a stir on social media.
Through verification, the old woman in the clip who used to live in Hamlet 4, Long An Commune, Can Duoc district, died a week ago, at the age of 79.
The woman in the clip acting violently is Mrs. H., 56, her only daughter. When the old woman was still alive, Mrs. H. lived with her and her two biological children.
Initially, Ms H. admitted that all the acts in the clip were caused by herself, around November 2019. This clip was due to Ms H.’s own son watching his mother curse and beat his grandmother, so he came back.
Working with the police, Ms H. said that the cause of the acts of beating and cursing her elderly mother was that “she had nothing to leave behind, but she had to take care of her alone for many years, so she was angry” .
After filming the clip, Ms H.’s son still kept it on his phone. When the grandmother passed away, a family relative visited the funeral, found out that her biological son abused her often, so she asked and Ms. H.’s children provided this video. Clip then went viral on social media.
“The above incident makes society very pressing. We are currently continuing to clarify to have an address to manage in accordance with the law, ”said Colonel Duc.
