The victim was Ms. Tran Kim H. (18 years old, from Dong Nai, temporarily residing in Binh Tan District). During the previous time, Ms. H. walked down the street holding a cell phone. In the investigation, the Binh Tan District Police arrested Duc at noon on 7 January when he was hiding in the Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery (Binh Tan District). Duc initially confessed to his act of theft. After stealing the German victim’s phone, he sold 1.2 million VND for personal consumption.
Additionally, Duc claimed to have two convictions for burglary and property theft. The case of the robber who drags the girl is currently being investigated.
