On the morning of October 2, the city of Hanoi officially started the underground tunnel at the Le Van Luong – Ring 3 intersection, which is expected to be completed after 2 years.
The underground tunnel has a reinforced concrete structure. The tunnel is built in the direction of Le Van Luong, with the total length of the tunnel and the edge of the two ends of the tunnel about 475 m. The cross section consists of two separate tunnels, each tunnel is 7.75m wide, including 2 motorized 3.5m / lane lanes.

The director of the Project Management Board for investment and construction of traffic works in Hanoi, Pham Hoang Tuan, said that the project has a total investment of 698 billion VND. The city of Hanoi is expected to complete 2 years of construction to complete the tunnel through this long-lived intersection.
According to Mr. Pham Hoang Tuan, this project has a high difficulty and complexity, both the construction of technical infrastructure, and the auxiliary organization of synchronous traffic; relocation and moderate protection of floating underground works, which include: 6 220 kV underground cable lines; 6 underground cable lines of 110 kV; 7 underground cable lines of 22kV.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, said that the project to build Le Van Luong Underground – Ring 3 is one of the city’s key projects, aiming to resolve conflicts in intersections, reduce traffic congestion and complete the capital’s traffic infrastructure step by step according to the plan approved by the Prime Minister.

In order for the project to ensure progress and quality, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh asked the investor (the Project Management Unit to invest in the construction of traffic works in the city of Hanoi) to coordinate closely with the departments, branches and localities. related, regularly monitor, inspect, quickly resolve issues that arise, ensure job security.
“In particular, the project execution process must guarantee road safety, environmental sanitation, minimize the impact of construction on the lives of the people in the area; pay attention to a smooth and safe traffic organization during project implementation, ”emphasized President Chu Ngoc Anh.
