The Vietnamese tank team has had an impressive performance in the Tank Competition held in 2020. In the qualifying competition, the Vietnamese team ranked second after Tajikistan. In the semi-finals, the Vietnamese team ranked second after the Myanmar team. And in the final of Group 2, the Vietnamese team beat the rest of the rivals to win the championship.
In the tank competition in 2019, the Vietnamese tank team took second place in the final competition of Group 2, receiving the silver medal. The team that won Group 2 last year was Uzbekistan, and thanks to this achievement, Uzbekistan in 2020 was placed in Group 1, which consisted of elite teams.
So with the championship in 2020, the Vietnam tank team until 2021 will compete at the same table with the first-class teams.

It should be added that most of the teams competing in the Tank Competition (except China) have T-72 tanks in their army. Laos has just fitted T-72 tanks since 2018, and Myanmar has more than 130 T-72 tanks since the 2000s. Therefore, these teams do not take the time to familiarize themselves with and master this type of vehicle when competing.

The Vietnamese team at the time was still using the T-54 tank for practice, so it was a bit more difficult.
