According to the Reuters news agency, Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s election official, said on November 20 that the results of the manual recount and inspection of each vote confirmed Biden as the winner.
Figures released officially on the Georgia election agency website show that Biden received 12,670 more popular votes than Trump.
Biden is the first Democratic presidential candidate to win in Georgia since 1992. With a confirmed victory in Georgia, Biden has won 306 electoral votes, Trump has 232 votes.
According to Foxnews, until 5:00 p.m. local time, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp will have to confirm the state list of 16 electoral votes.
However, the Trump campaign still has two days to request a recount because the gap between Trump and Biden in Georgia is still too narrow.
In the 2016 election, Trump beat Hillary Clinton in Georgia by more than 5% of the vote.
That same day, Trump complained on Twitter that Georgia state officials had refused to “show us the signatures that would expose hundreds of thousands of invalid votes.” However, Trump has not provided proof of these allegations.
Although the window of opportunity has closed in Georgia with Trump and his campaign, but according to three Reuters sources, Trump’s team still expects more positive results in the “states of war.” Another “school” has a legislature controlled by the Republican Party.
Right now, the spotlight is on Michigan and Pennsylvania, but according to Reuters, even if these two states reverse their support for Trump, the US president still needs to reverse his victory in another state to have enough. Electoral votes to surpass Mr. Biden.
