Georgia’s count found that 3,039 additional votes were not counted in two counties, after Floyd County found that more than 2,500 votes were omitted.

The 2,755 uncounted votes were discovered in Fayette County, when Georgia state officials conducted a manual recount. Georgia elections official Gabriel Sterling says the problem is due to multiple people not following the proper process.

An additional 284 votes were found in Walton County, which has traditionally been Republican. The president of the local electoral council, Lori Wood, said that the problem was the general scenario. Of these 284 votes, 176 went to Trump.

Previously, Floyd County discovered 2,508 votes that had not yet been counted because election officials forgot to download the vote data from a memory card from a ballot scanner, of which 1,643 votes were for Trump. Sterling said on November 17 that the incident was “disturbing” but emphasized that “it does not appear to be a widespread problem.”

Biden on 11/13 was determined to be victorious in Georgia at the first vote count. Due to the difference between the two candidates of less than 0.3%, Secretary General Raffensperger ordered a manual verification of almost 5 million votes as of November 14. These newly discovered votes could help Trump close the gap with Biden in Georgia, but not enough to change the outcome, given that the Democratic nominee is ahead in the state by a gap of about 14,000.

The Trump campaign claims to uncover many voting and lawsuit anomalies in Georgia, but does not provide much conclusive evidence of systematic or large-scale fraud. A lawsuit alleging nearly 60 absentee votes in Chatham County was incorrectly counted, but the court dismissed it. Two trials pending sentencing.

The Trump campaign also charged the “four dead to vote” in Georgia, but local officials confirmed that two of the voters were still alive and voted validly, the other two are being verified.

On November 15, Trump continued to denounce that “the Georgia count is a fraud, nonsensical” because the Consensus Law signed by the Secretary of State with the Governor prevented the comparison of voter signatures. on ballots and envelopes. However, the AP news agency said Georgia does not have a law that prevents employees from verifying votes with voter signatures.
