Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People’s Council, was transferred and appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of the Interior.
The above decision takes effect on 9/24. At the recent Yen Bai Provincial Party Congress, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra did not participate in the re-election of the new Provincial Party Committee.
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra is 56 years old; Nam Dan, Nghe An; Master of Educational Management, Bachelor of Education; Member of the Central Committee of the Party, term XII.
Ms Tra is a mature civil servant in the education sector. She began her career as a high school teacher, then went on to work as a professional instructor in the Department of Education and Training, then an assistant principal. She was elected vice chair of the Tran Yen (Yen Bai) District People’s Committee in late 1999.
Subsequently, she held the positions of Undersecretary, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice President of the Provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Yen Bai Party Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Yen Bai Province People’s Committee.
On September 14, 2016, the Ninth Meeting of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Session XVIII elected Ms. Tra as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the period 2015-2020, replacing Mr. Pham Duy Cuong, who was shot in his office. and died a month before.
Currently the Minister of the Interior is Mr. Le Vinh Tan, the Vice Ministers include: Mr. Nguyen Duy Thang, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Mr. Trieu Van Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thua, Mr. Vu Chien Thang and Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra.
