On the afternoon of December 18, the Quang Ninh province police reported that they were continuing to verify and clarify the finding of about 80 people with signs of illegal drug use at the New Ha Long Club dance hall.

Prior to that, at around 11:45 a.m. on December 17, the CSDT Department of Drug-related Crimes, Quang Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with the Mobile Police Department, Provincial Police and the Police Ha Long city to suddenly review the management of the New Ha Long Club nightclub.

The inspection process found that at 6 “banquet tables” in this ballroom there were 78 people with signs of illegal drug use. Authorities seized many small packages of suspicious drugs at the scene.

Right at night, units of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police brought all of the aforementioned persons to their headquarters to investigate behavior related to the organization of illegal drug use.

According to the information presented, the New Ha Long Club nightclub is one of the most modern “super” nightclubs in Vietnam, it meets international standards with a capacity of up to 1,500 people and the total investment of this nightclub is more than 3 million dollars .
