On the 12th and 12th, information from the Binh Phuoc Province Judicial Execution Council said that the execution of the death penalty by injection of 36-year-old prisoner Hoang Quynh Vinh lived in Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province. .
Vinh received the death penalty for “murder”, “intentionally causing injury” and “escaping from prison”.
According to records, on the afternoon of March 15, 2015, Vinh went to the home of an acquaintance in Dong Tien Commune, Dong Phu District for a drink.
While drinking, Vinh took a glass and invited Mr. Hoang Van Binh, 45, who lived in the same commune, who was drinking together, but Mr. Binh refused.
Thinking that Mr. Binh thought he was nothing, Vinh, holding a glass bottle of wine, hit Mr. Binh on the head and knocked him to the ground.
Seeing that Mr. Binh was unconscious, people took him to the emergency room, but due to a severe brain injury, Mr. Binh died 2 days later. Or believing that Mr. Binh was dead, seeing that he could not escape, Vinh went to the police and surrendered.
On March 26, 2015, Vinh was prosecuted by Dong Phu District Police and arrested for investigating his intentional act of causing injury.
While detained in the same room with Le Van Trieu (the defendant in the case of illegal drug trafficking) in the Dong Phu District Police, until around 5:00 p.m. on July 11, 2015, Vinh tried to escape of arrest. So I used a rope to strangle Trieu’s neck to death and pretended to bang on the door for help.
When the police officers on duty ran to open the cell door, Vinh pushed the door open and ran, but was knocked down and arrested by the soldiers.
On July 24, 2017, the People’s Court of Binh Phuoc Province sentenced Hoang Quynh Vinh to death for the crimes of “murder”, “intentional injury” and “escape from detention”.
After that, Vinh appealed, but the high-level appeals court of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court rejected the appeal and sentenced him to death.
