Vaccination scheduled for 5/2021
Mr. Ho Nhan, Managing Director of Nanogen Company, the first unit in Vietnam to test the COVID-19 vaccine in humans, said that the Nanogen vaccine is expected to take around 6 months for the clinical trial. People, divided into three phases, by May 2021 can be included in the vaccination.
Consequently, starting on December 10, volunteers will be recruited to participate in the clinical trial. In the first phase of the trial, the company coordinated with the Military Medical Academy recruited 60 volunteers for vaccination. This group will be divided into 3 groups to test different levels of vaccines: 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg. The entire testing process for phase one will take one month. In the short term, the first 20 people will be injected. Phase two, tests on a scale of 600 people, over a period of 2-3 months. The number of volunteers for the third stage is currently unknown.
Nanogen Company can produce 30 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine per year for approximately 100,000 VND per dose. Each dose is injected with 2 injections, separated by half a month.
