At 7 o’clock, the location of the center of the tropical depression is approximately 14.0 degrees north latitude; 119.5 degrees east longitude, about 650 km northeast of Song Tu West Island. The strongest wind in the area near the center of low tropical pressure level 6 (40 – 50 km / h), level 8.
The tropical depression is forecast to move in a northwesterly direction in the next 24 hours, each hour is about 20-25 km and is likely to be stronger. At 7:00 pm on October 16, the location of the low pressure tropical center is approximately 14.8 north latitude; 115.0 degrees East Kinh, about 360 km northeast of Song Tu West Island. The strongest wind in the area near the center of strong tropical low pressure level 7 (50-60 km / h), level 9.
Danger zone due to tropical depression in the East Sea in the next 24 hours (strong winds of level 6 or higher, shock from level 8 or higher): from latitude 13.0 to 16.5 in north latitude; from the 113.5 meridian to 120.0 degrees east longitude. All vessels operating in the danger zone are at high risk of being affected by strong winds. Natural disaster risk level: level 3.
Over the next 24 to 48 hours, the tropical depression is moving west at about 20 km per hour and is likely to become a storm. At 7:00 pm on October 17, the location of the storm’s center was at about 14.7 degrees north latitude; 110.2 degrees east longitude, about 150 km east of the mainland provinces from Da Nang to Phu Yen. The strongest wind in the area near the center of strong storms is level 8 (60 – 75 km / hour), level 10.
Over the next 48 to 72 hours, the typhoon moved west, between 10 and 15 kilometers per hour.
