According to local people, around 10:30 a.m. on December 20, the fire started at the home of 25-year-old Vo Minh Luan in My Hoa 2 village., Commune of Tan Hoa, then it quickly spread to neighboring houses. Due to the sun and the wind, the flames quickly spread to the surroundings.
Upon receiving the news, the police fire prevention and fighting team – rescue and rescue area in Phu Tan district brought the fire truck to coordinate with local authorities and people to put out the fire. Due to strong winds and dry weather, the fire took more than 1 hour to control.
The fire burned 7 houses and 2 houses burned by 50%, without causing loss of life. The total estimated damage exceeds 700 million dong.

“On this afternoon of December 20, the Phu Tan District People’s Committee supported mosquito nets, blankets, mats and supplies and 3 million VND per household for households whose houses were on fire. The District People’s Committee informed the Provincial People’s Committee from An Giang for instructions, support and help to build houses for the people, ”said Mr. Chau.
A leader from the An Giang Fire Fighting and Prevention Police Department said the fire occurred in an area with many layers of houses so close to each other that entering the fire was very difficult. The unit has mobilized many new support forces to put out the fire soon.
