On the afternoon of January 1, the Health Ministry said that Vietnam had 9 more cases of COVID-19 infection, all of which were immediately quarantined.

Case 1466 (BN 1466): male, 35 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in the city. Hung Yen, Hung Yen province.

Case 1467 (BN 1467): male, 38 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province.

Case 1468 (BN 1468): male, 51 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province.

BN 1466-1468 from Russia entered Cam Ranh Airport on flight VN5062 on December 25, isolated in Khanh Hoa province immediately after entry. Test results once daily 25-12 negative; Taking samples for the second time on December 30, test results on December 31 at the Khanh Hoa Province Center for Disease Control came back positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Khanh Hoa Tropical Disease Hospital. Previously, on this flight, there were 09 positive cases for SARS-CoV-2.

Case 1469 (BN 1469): male, 32 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in the district of Hai Chau, city. Danang.

Case 1470 (BN 1470): female, 40 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Ba Vi district, city. Hanoi.

Case 1471 (patient 1471): male, 37 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Chuong My district, city. Hanoi.

Case 1472 (BN 1472): male, 29 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province.

Case 1473 (BN 1473): male, 37 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province.

Germany’s BN 1469-1473 entered Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN30 on December 30, quarantined in Binh Duong province immediately after entry. Test results on December 31 at Pasteur Institute City. Ho Chi Minh City positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Binh Duong General Hospital.

Case 1474 (BN 1474): male, 50 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in District 7, City. Ho Chi Minh. Patients from Canada transited through Incheon Airport (Korea), then entered Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN405 on December 29, isolated in Long An province immediately after entry.

Sampling on December 30, test results on December 31 at the Long An Province Center for Disease Control and the city’s Pasteur Institute. Ho Chi Minh tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Long An Provincial General Hospital.
