According to the Ministry of Health, nine new cases (patient 2404-2412) were registered in Hai Duong. Specifically:
DISEASE 2404 – 2412 (patient 2404 – 2412): of which 6 cases in Kim Lien commune, Kim Thanh district were people in the blockade area, 2 cases in Cam Giang district were F1 from the old pre-concentrated isolated outbreak So, 1 case in Thanh Ha district was discovered through detection, it was quarantined.
Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Field 2 Hospital – Hai Duong Medical Technical University Hospital.
With 9 new cases, the number of COVID-19 cases nationwide has reached 2,412 patients since the beginning of the epidemic season. In which 1,790 patients were cured, discharged from the hospital, nearly 200 others had 1-3 negative test results, ready to be discharged.
Also today, the first batch of COVID-19 vaccine arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport and was transferred to a storage warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City. These vaccines purchased under a contract signed in November 2020 include 30 million doses, which will be supplied to Vietnam this year 2021.
In addition to the AstraZeneca vaccine, which includes the aforementioned vaccine batches, Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said that Vietnam is in further negotiations and may purchase 30 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine. The vaccines that Vietnam buys and receives aid will be sufficient for vaccination in 2021.
