2 new cases (BN1396-1397) are imported cases, they are isolated in Da Nang. As follows:

DISEASE 1396 (BN1396): male, 21 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Nam Ha Commune, Lam Ha District, Lam Dong Province.

On November 28, a patient from Japan entered Da Nang airport on flight VN319, immediately isolated in Da Nang.

Test results 3 times 12-12 days positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital. Previously, on this flight there was 1 positive case for SARS-CoV-2, isolated in Da Nang.

DISEASE 1397 (BN1397): female, 19 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city.

On December 1, patients from Korea entered Da Nang Airport on flight VN431, immediately isolated in Da Nang.

Test results 2 days 12-12 positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently in isolation and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital. Previously, there was 1 positive case for SARS-CoV-2 on this flight, isolated in Da Nang.

With 2 new patients, the number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the outbreak in Vietnam was approximately 1,400 people, of which 1,241 people were cured and discharged from the hospital.

As of this afternoon (December 13), it has been almost 2 weeks since there have been no more cases from the community patient group at HCMC. Worldwide, by December 13, the number of COVID-19 cases had exceeded 72 million cases.
