With her husband crossing a stream near their home during the flood and rapid water flow, a woman residing in Dan Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh, was sadly washed away.
On the afternoon of October 9, Mr. Doan Phuc Hanh, Chairman of the Dan Hoa Commune People’s Committee, Minh Hoa (Quang Binh) District, said that in this commune, a woman was washed away.
Heavy rains cause rising water in rivers and streams in the Minh Hoa district.
The victim was Ms. Ho Thi Lieu (SN 1973) of the Chut ethnic group, residing in Ta Ra village, Dan Hoa commune. Around 12 noon the same day, Ms. Lieu and her husband passed a stream near their home. Due to flooding, the water from the high and fast stream, Lieu was washed away.
Currently, the competent forces are deploying forces and means to find the victim. Lieu’s family is known to be a difficult home in the locality.

The rescue work has ensured the safety of the fishermen’s people and property.
