On October 9, Nguyen Tat Minh from Thanh Hoa, who was carried to school by his friend for 10 years, entered the IT department of Hanoi University of Technology.
On the high school graduation exam, Minh scored 28.1 points for the A00 combination (math, physics, chemistry) and 0.5 priority points. After completing the admission procedure, Minh received a scholarship to start the course worth 30 million VND.
Associate Professor Tran Trung Kien, head of the Admissions Department at Hanoi University of Technology, said there is currently no specific financial support policy for Minh. For students with difficult circumstances, the school will have a fee waiver or reduction mechanism for each case. In addition to tuition fees, students who do well in school but with disabilities or difficult circumstances will receive a scholarship from the school support fund contributed by their teachers and a share of socialization.
According to Assoc.
Nguyen Tat Minh and Ngo Van Hieu are close friends in the same neighborhood. Since he was born, Minh became deformed, his legs and one arm trembled, and the bigger he got, the more he shrunk. Seeing that he couldn’t walk, Hieu volunteered to “switch feet”, taking Minh to school for the past 10 years.
High school graduation exam, Hieu achieved 28.15 points from combination B (Mathematics, Chemistry, Birth), missing 0.25 points, so he could not aspire to 1 Doctor, Hanoi Medical University. Not wanting to be special, Hieu decided to apply to Thai Binh Medical University and was exempt from school fees.
