A student died after a traffic collision on Highway 1 through Binh Thuan

Around 13:30 pm on December 23, at the intersection of National Highway 1 – Nguyen Hoi Street (in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province), driver Vo Tan Thanh (31 years old, from the province from Dak Lak) drives a container truck traveling on Highway 1 in the direction of Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City then collides with the electric bicycle of Pham Minh Thu (15 years old, from Binh Thuan) going from the direction of the district from Ham Thuan Bac to Phan Thiet city center to go to school. The collision caused Thu’s death on the spot, the electric bicycle was almost 20 meters from the container truck.

According to driver Thanh, at the time of the accident, there was a 7-seater car driving parallel to the right of the container truck. Driver Thanh said it is possible that the 7-seater car crashed into the electric bike before the electric bike collided with the container truck. After the accident, the 7-seater car left the scene.
