On the night of November 15, on the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong highway, a traffic jam of more than 10 km occurred again in the lane from Long An to Ho Chi Minh City due to a continuous accident between many cars that occurred in the Km13, in Ben Luc district area, Long An.
Witnesses at the scene said the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. There were 6 cars involved in the accident, including 3 trucks and 3 5-seater vehicles. In it, a truck with only slight damage to the taillights was able to leave the scene early.
3 vehicles in the ongoing accident were seriously damaged. In particular, two vehicles were trapped between two trucks, damaging both the front and the rear of the vehicle.
Some people in the two cars were slightly injured and others immediately removed them safely.
The accident caused the vehicles involved to occupy most of the two main lanes, causing a rapid and prolonged traffic jam. The fact that cars kept trying to get into the emergency lane as when there was a traffic jam on the road made the traffic worse.
Not only that, but the fact that the cars are blocking all the emergency lanes makes it difficult for functional forces to come close to resolve the scene. Less than half an hour after the accident, the entire road more than 10 km from the express lane was almost stuck.
At 0:00 a.m. on November 16, more than 3 hours from the time of the incident, despite receiving a quick report immediately after the incident, the traffic police were still unable to access the scene.
