The Ministry of Health said that on the afternoon of October 2, Vietnam registered one more new case COVID-19 (BN1096) is an immigration case, isolated in Quang Nam. She is a 24-year-old patient residing in Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province.

On September 30, a patient from Japan (Tokyo) on flight VN311 returned to Danang airport, he was quarantined immediately after entry. On September 30, samples were taken from the patient and they tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on October 2. The patient is currently in isolation and treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

To date, Vietnam has recorded 1,096 Covid-19 cases, of which 691 Covid-19 cases were caused by a domestic infection and 405 entry cases were immediately isolated.

Total number of people in close contact with and entry from epidemic areas under medical supervision (quarantine): 15,013. During the day, the cure of the disease for 2 more patients (BN1041, BN1043) was announced, bringing the number of cured Covid-19 cases nationwide to 1,020 cases. The number of deaths was 35.

Until now, Vietnam has reached 30 years without cases of infection in the community. However, experts warn that the risk of epidemics is always present as Vietnam gradually opens international routes.
