United States President Donald Trump announced that he could speak to Kim Jong Un later this week after the North Korean media reported on the re-entry of the Pyongyang leader after weeks of “concealment.”

“We will have something to say about it at the appropriate time,” President Trump told reporters on Thursday, according to a transcript of his statements released by the White House.
According to Bloomberg, Trump declined to comment further on the incident. The White House chief said he would go to Camp David this weekend for meetings and phone calls with various foreign leaders.

Earlier on May 2, North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un had attended and cut a ribbon to open a fertilizer factory in northern Pyongyang the day before.
This is Kim’s first public appearance after a 20-day absence, amid speculation about her health.
