Forward Van Toan is playing well in the role of forward
With a goal against Hai Phong, forward Nguyen Van Toan has scored 4 goals, among the top 3 forwards in the 2021 V-League.
His goals are just behind Rafaelson (SHB Da Nang) and Edyson (Than Quang Ninh), both with 5.
Van Toan was one of Coach Kiatisak’s hidden adjustments when he arrived at Pleiku.
The Thai strategist did not allow Toan to play as a winger, a role familiar to the Hai Duong player.
Instead, Van Toan was pushed into the penalty area, paired with Brandao, playing the highest in attack.
