On the morning of April 3, Lam Dong Province police finished clearing the scene of the truck that crashed and killed 2 students at the Bao Loc crossing on Highway 20, the stretch that passes through the city of Da M’ri, Da Huoai District, Lam Dong.
Before that, around 22:00 on 2-4, driver Ho Van Thanh (49 years old, living in Tien Giang) was driving the truck carrying scrap metal in the direction of Da Lat – Ho Chi Minh City.
When I went down most of the Bao Loc pass, this car collided with a motorcycle driven by NTCG (22 years old) with NCTT (19 years old, living in Loc Chau commune, Bao Loc city) running in the opposite direction. Then the truck rolled onto the side of the road.
The accident killed two students on the spot, the truck was badly damaged, the Bao Loc pass was congested in both directions for many hours overnight.
The two victims, cousins, attended a university in Ho Chi Minh City and were on their way home to visit their home in Bao Loc City.
The Da Huoai District Road Safety Department visited, expressed condolences and supported the families of these students (VND 5 million / victim).
Bao Loc Pass is a narrow pass route, currently a traffic accident black spot on Highway 20. In the last 2 months, at least 3 serious accidents have occurred. Initially, all errors are due to the car overtaking the road and overtaking.
