VinFast has officially announced that it will accept the order for the first electric car model called VF e34 priced at VND 690 million. Users can order a car from their website or at VinFast dealers and showrooms with a 10 million VND / car deposit. For customers who ordered before June 30, VinFast continued to reduce another 100 million VND, down to 590 million VND, with one year of free battery subscription. The car will reach users in November 2021.
With VinFast e34, VinFast uses the battery rental model to reduce the price of the product directly while limiting the risks of quality and battery life during use for users. Specifically, VF e34 users will pay a monthly battery subscription fee of VND 1.45 million for 1,400 km of travel (equivalent to an average of 46.6 km / day). If it is more than 1,400 km, customers must pay an additional 998 VND / km. According to VinFast calculations, the total cost of renting batteries and recharging the VF e34 is 1,482 VND / km, equivalent to the travel cost of conventional gasoline cars.
“We created a product that customers can directly compare with gasoline cars. Customers do not have to pay for the battery, while the operating cost is equivalent to the cost of gasoline consumption,” said Thai Thi Thanh Hai, CEO of VinFast.
Regarding the charging station, VinFast said that it is completing the system of charging stations across the country, with the goal that by the end of 2021 there will be 40,000 cargo ports, covering 63 provinces. With fast charging mode, the car can travel a distance of 180 km for 15 minutes of charging. Users can also recharge the car at home.
VinFast VF e34 (code name VF31) is an electric cell model in the C segment, which was announced in January 2021. The vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,611 mm, dimensions of length x width x height of 4,300 x 1,793 x 1,613 (mm), 180mm ground clearance, 1,490kg curb weight. VinFast VF e34 is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 110 kW, maximum torque of 242 Nm with front wheel drive, MacPherson strut front suspension, torsion bar rear suspension. The car uses a 42 kWh capacity battery, which can travel 300 km after each full charge. VinFast announced a 10-year warranty on the VF e34.
According to VinFast, VF e34 will support remote software updates; automatically diagnose and warn vehicle problems; locate and navigate to the charging station; Monitoring of battery charge status, vehicle operating history; warn of the risk of theft; learn and remember the usage habits of users; voice control support.
In particular, VinFast still applies the “old and new collection” policy for the VF e34. Users will receive an additional 30 million VND if they switch from fossil fuel (gasoline / oil) vehicles to electric cars.
How VinFast is charged to VF e34 electric car battery subscribers
– Estimated fuel cost (1): 1,482 VND / km (based on current fuel price it is 19,000 VND / liter and average fuel consumption is 7.8 liters / 100 km)
– Estimated electricity bill (2): 484 VND / km (according to the current price of level 5 electricity, it is 3,117 VND / kW and the average energy consumption is 15.52 kW / 100km). The customer pays this fee when charging the battery at home or at the station.
– The cost of the battery rental that customers have to pay to VinFast: (3) = (1) – (2) = 998 VND / km
