On March 22, in the press release on trade union activities in the first quarter of 2021, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam, reported on the establishment of the School Council . Ton Duc University of Thang.
According to Mr. Kien, due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the process of establishing a new school board has been restarted so far.
As expected, tomorrow 23-3, the school held a conference to introduce key personnel. In 3-4 days, a conference of public employees, speakers, and employees will be held to elect the school board.
The project to establish a school council is elaborated by the school leadership team, agreed in the leadership team with the natural members and representatives of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam in accordance with the spirit of the Office No. 5363.
The process of preparation, discussion and issuance of projects ensures the leadership of the Party. The school Party Committee will discuss and issue opinions on the staff participating in the school board and school administrators after the key cadre conference, in accordance with the Party decentralization on cadre work.
Currently, the school’s Party Committee has a Standing Committee, so all the Standing Committee peers join the school’s leadership team to formulate and implement the school council establishment project in accordance with the regulations.
Regarding the resolution of the complaints of Mr. Le Vinh Danh, former Rector of Ton Duc Thang University, Mr. Kien said that the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam has carefully studied the valid complaint of Mr. Le Vinh Danh, considering reassessing the whole case in an objective and fair spirit, assessing the extenuating and aggravating circumstances and deciding to maintain the level of discipline by firing the director of Mr. Le Vinh Danh.
In accordance with the provisions of the Complaints Law and the provisions of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam implementing the Complaints Law, the Executive Board of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam is the final resolution agency for Mr. Le Vinh Danh. .
Regarding the continuation of the investigation and clarification of errors at Ton Duc Thang University, Mr. Kien said that based on the recommendations of the competent authorities to clarify and handle the negative signals related to the strict breach of the regulation on valuation and approval of investment projects, tenders, construction and settlement of works, management and use of finances and assets of Ton Duc Thang University.
After working with groups and individuals in violation of the responsibility to overcome the consequences, based on the nature and seriousness of the violation, at the request of the competent investigation agency, the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam has transferred the entire file of the case to this agency. for investigation and management “- said Mr. Kien.
Mr. Kien stated that the VGCL will coordinate with functional agencies to lead, direct the establishment of the school council and consolidate key positions. All organizations and individuals who interfere, cause difficulties, oppose or hinder the establishment of the school council will be considered and treated strictly in accordance with the regulations of the Party and the laws of the State.
