British Senator Baroness Jones proposed an 18-hour curfew for men to ensure that women were safe after the death of little girl Sarah Everard.
“When there is the next opportunity to formulate a proper bill, I can propose a gender ban against men on the street after 6pm. The chairwoman of the British Commission for Equality and Women, Caroline Nokes, also criticized Jones’ proposal, saying that no curfew should be imposed on either gender. “This is the crazy solution, but we are still talking about the practical things that men can do to make women feel more confident,” says Nokes.
