The White House was baffled when it suddenly cut off the event’s broadcast online after Biden said he was “willing to answer questions” from Democrats.

The US president closed his speech by asking Democrats to help “restore confidence” in the government and expressed his willingness to answer questions.
“I’d be more than happy to answer questions if that’s what I have to do, Nance,” Biden told the Speaker of the House of Representatives. “Whatever people want me to answer.”
The broadcast ended abruptly after Biden paused for a few seconds, leaving only a blue screen with a White House icon. The White House has yet to comment on the move.
The 46th president of the United States faces mounting criticism because he has not held an official press conference after six weeks in office. Biden rarely responds to reporters and is usually limited to questions from shortlisted reporters.
