On the night of the first Lunar New Year of Tan Suu 2021, the gymnasts community was shocked by the allegation that athlete Pham Van Mach fraudulently seized the property from shareholders who were contributing capital to open the gym. Contacting the athlete who won the SEA Games gold many times, he had explanations about the controversy on the first day of the year.
Here’s the full story of Pham Van Mach:
“The story is that at the beginning of October, I opened a gym in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City and during the recruiting period, I saw that he also understood fitness, so I hired him to be the CEO with a salary of 15 million a month …, adding 5% of the total income and other preferential policies I assign to execute all the activities of the company, in fact, if you don’t know how capable, nobody will pay like that.
During that time, he applied for a 20% stake in the company, which was 300 million and I also accepted because he wanted them to develop the business together and the total investment cost of the gym was 1.3 billion VND.
During the operation, there are clients that are transferred but you do not write a contract for the client, which creates a situation where there is no contract to process later.
After 2 months of ineffective operation, the company has suffered heavy losses, but refused to spend money with us. I have to make up for the loss myself every month. When the cost was no longer affordable, he and I found a way to cut losses by selling the gym or selling equipment.
He is the one who actively seeks partners to transfer rooms or sell equipment, but cannot close partners to transfer. Time flies, cash, employees, utilities, and other expenses just pile up. The last solution is for the company selling the pricing machine to take back all the equipment. After the valuation is complete, he and I also agree on the price (albeit a 50% more loss than the original price).
Due to the large loss in the sale price, my friend H. stepped forward to buy all the training equipment and other equipment at a slightly higher price. Of course he and I agree. During that time, he also spoke with H. about drafting equipment sales contracts.
On January 9, H. gave him and me money, a total of 50% of the amount. I divided 20% of what was sold (divided into 2 installments). The complete contract to sell equipment to H. and settle the employment contract was drawn up and signed by him.

On January 14, H. paid the remaining 50% and I also made a second appointment to pay him, I took the money to a cafe (where he made an appointment) to deliver the rest of the money. At the time, he refused to accept the money and said it was unreasonable to negotiate the papers. He refused to accept the money, so I brought it home.
On January 21, he continued to send text messages, demanding payment for the remainder. I’ll send you an appointment with Tet. Meanwhile, he asked for a meeting to resolve and negotiate something, he also said that the contracts to sell the equipment and liquidate were invalid (while the writer was him). He also said that if he did not meet to negotiate, he would publish his honor, reputation and image in the media and social networking sites, and sue in court. I saw him say two words, so I also asked him to file a court order to clear things up.
On February 12 he published a defamation of questions of honor and personal life. Really bringing personal matters, family matters as well as defamation of the honor of others in the process of working together in the company, you can see how people are acting and should cooperate later or not.
Responding to the question: “The opener accused him of delaying the transfer of the Company to a two-member limited partnership,” Pham Van Mach said, “During the first month I told him I would add more. I joined the company, but was busy doing speed training to compete in the 2020 Gymnastics Championships so I couldn’t change my license. After that the company could no longer maintain, I had to sell the gym, so the license change is no longer important I also paid exactly 20% of his equity stake after he and I agreed to sell it to H. “
The defector Pham Van Mach also charged this athlete, along with H. by two tall people, with weapons to pursue him and his staff. Faced with this accusation, Pham Van Mach said: “I sold the gym to H., so how did he go to the gym? I don’t know where the practice room is.”
Athlete Pham Van Mach is the star of the Vietnamese fitness people and the world. He has won 5 world championships (2001, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2017), in addition to 7 consecutive Asian championships, many SEA Games championships, and dozens of national championships.
