Outbreaks of infiltration in other localities have also been zoned and thoroughly managed, said Mr. Tran Nhu Duong, who was directly involved in the Hai Duong Ministry of Health’s anti-epidemic working group.

“However, the fight against the epidemic is never simple, there are always new complicated situations. Therefore, we are all aware that it is not allowed to be negligent, subjective and we must fight together. Translation with the best effort,” said Duong .

This outbreak, in 10 days, registered more than 400 cases in 12 provinces and cities, of which the majority was in Hai Duong province. The Ministry of Health immediately mobilized thousands of experts in all specialized fields, providing timely support kits, bioproducts, and chemicals to towns such as Hai Duong, Dien Bien and Gia Lai. Until now, the epidemic situation in the country has been well controlled.

Mr. Duong assessed that this epidemic, the health sector has to face a more dangerous “enemy”, which is the nCoV Anh strain. This variety is characterized by its rapid and intense spread. The challenge is to quickly track and test on a large scale with large numbers. To meet the testing requirements in the new situation, the healthcare industry must change its sample pool strategy.

“In the past, 5 sample samples were mainly analyzed or smuggled, now the Ministry of Health allows combining 10 to 12 samples in one test to meet the requirements for analysis of very large samples,” Duong said. “Combined by household or in a group from the same agency, the unit can hold up to 16 samples. If the group of samples appears positive, immediately isolate and test separately for the main form. This method is quick and saves a lot bioproducts “.

According to Mr. Duong, the sample consolidation strategy has a solid and clear scientific basis. There are many international studies and many countries that have applied this strategy. In Vietnam, wisely and scientifically, the Ministry of Health has assigned the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology the task of researching and developing a standard sample pooling process.

“Research results from the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology have confirmed that combining many samples in one test is completely feasible, accurate, reliable with high sensitivity and specificity as when we do it. Request form,” said Mr. Duong. Thanks to such clear scientific foundations, the Ministry of Health has issued guidelines for testing pooled samples throughout the country.

Mr. Duong emphasized that Tet is getting very close, the epidemic situation is still complicated, everyone celebrates Tet with joy but they must remember to stay safe for themselves and everyone. It is important to implement well the 5K message of the Ministry of Health, which is to use a mask, disinfect hands, not gather, keep distance and medical report.

“You should not go to areas with outbreaks,” recommended Mr. Duong.

It is also necessary to change some habits that can increase the risk of infection, such as instead of going from house to house to meet face to face to celebrate Tet, becoming a citizen of the era 4.0: Happy new year online, Happy new year new over the internet apps, text messages, calls … Instead of happy age, lucky money in cash or with lucky money, you can send greeting cards online.

“I think everyone understands and understands right now that safety is the most important thing,” Duong said.
