On January 17, the patient returned to Hanoi and recently showed signs of a cough, fever, and tests at the CDC Hanoi showed positive results for COVID-19.
Currently, the patient has been isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases. The Hanoi Health Department initially identified 29 close contacts (F1), but there may be more. These 29 people were also placed in isolation.
In the early morning of January 30, the elementary school that the patient’s son attends (grade 3) issued an urgent notice, stating that all the student in the class and the teacher in the class were F2, the staff, all the student field is F3. All grade 3 where the patient studied received instruction on home isolation.
This is the third COVID-19 case in Hanoi, after a Hai Duong student living in Cau Giay district and a woman living in Hoang Mai district involving a 1,553 patient.
