Ho Chi Minh City in search of people traveling with suspicious planes

The Center for Disease Control (HCDC) on the night of January 29, registered a suspected case of infection in Hai Duong village, in close contact with “patient 1612”, on a flight VN213 on January 28 to the city.

According to HCDC, the suspect arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on flight VN213, which departed from Noi Bai airport at 3:00 p.m. on January 28. This person is from Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province, has close contact with “patient 1612”. After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, this person took the initiative to make a medical report and was quarantined.

12 cases of close contact with the previous suspected case have been centrally isolated, the test results are negative once.

HCDC recommends that all passengers traveling on the previous flight contact the local health authority. For those who live in Ho Chi Minh City, please call the hotline phone number of the district Medical Center where you live to report, receive medical isolation instructions and take samples for nCoV testing.

As for the outbreak in Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, there are 7 cases of close contact. All were isolated and negative once with nCoV. The city has reactivated the entire Covid-19 defense system. Health Department Director Nguyen Tan Binh called on people coming to Ho Chi Minh City from epidemic areas to proactively inform the local health sector.

HCDC also announced that it will increase the quarantine period from 14 days to 21 days for people arriving in Ho Chi Minh City in connection with the Hai Duong epidemic area, Quang Ninh.
