Supporters waved the Trump campaign flags, an American flag and a banner of rhetoric criticizing Biden. A woman shed tears while holding a sign that read “Trump overwhelmed.” Others held up signs: “Welcome Home”, “Trump 2024”, “Thank you President Trump”, “Best President” and chanted “We love you.”
However, some Biden supporters also appeared. One person raised a banner at Trump: “You are fired, you lose.”

An unidentified source said Trump closely followed the preparations for Biden’s inauguration while flying to Florida. The Trump couple left the plane shortly after Vice President Mike Pence appeared on Capitol Hill. Pence was not present at Trump’s farewell ceremony.
Trump, 74, has hinted that he will run for president again in 2024, but faces a Senate trial for his role in the Jan.6 riots on Capitol Hill. Democrats may try to promote a ban on his office in the future.
