The two defendants put a “script” and presented to Ms. H. that Thanh studied with Mr. VC, an officer of a state agency, so that he could ask Mr. VC to ask him to work in the Office of the government. The position is equivalent to the Deputy Director “position” at a cost of $ 800,000 (equivalent to VND 17 billion).
When Hong introduced Ms. H. to Thanh, the two defendants performed the drama as mentioned above. The giant woman asked Thanh to “do the job” so she could work in the International Relations Department of the Government Office and nodded to agree to the price offered by the defendants.
Thanh asked Ms H. to transfer 10 billion VND in advance and ordered a Toyota Camry Q ASV50L car, worth 1.6 billion VND, as a gift for Mr. H., to create a relationship and apply for a job.
After Ms. H. handed over the car, Thanh did not give it to H. but kept it for personal use.
On November 17, 2016, Thanh asked Ms. H. to purchase an additional car for him to use to transport Mr. H. Because she was asking Thanh for a job, Ms. H. bought a Toyota Prado worth more than 2.2 billion VND. He then gave the car to Thanh to use.
In the job application process, in addition to the initial agreement with Ms. H., Thanh also asked the female giant to give more than 9 billion VND to apply for a job without notifying Hong.
According to the indictment, from 8/8/2016 to 12/2/2018, Ms H. has transferred money to Thanh’s bank account 14 times with tens of billions of dong.
After receiving the money, Thanh divided Hong one billion VND. Both defendants did not apply for work, they gave Ms. H. as promised, but appropriated and used personal expenses.
The indictment said that the amount defendant Thanh defrauded and appropriated from Ms. H. was more than VND 27.7 billion.
The defendant Hong played the role of an accessory to help Thanh deceive Ms. H.’s 17 billion VND, of which Hong received one billion VND.
So far, Hong has exceeded 1 billion VND, Thanh has more than 2 billion VND for Ms. H. CQĐT, and has returned damaged Toyota Camry Q ASV50L. And the Toyota Prado, Mrs. H. was returned by the defendant.
