The Ministry of Health proposed to the Government to stop organizing and restricting flight permits to Vietnam from countries and territories infected with the new nCoV variant.
The report signed by Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long on January 3, sent to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, expresses the above proposal.
According to the Health Ministry, the test results of 6 cases of Covid-19 on the flight from England to Can Tho on December 22 found “patient 1,435” carrying a variant of the new nCoV strain.

To prevent epidemics, since the beginning of April 2020, Vietnam stopped all trade routes with other countries. After that, several airlines obtained licenses to operate international flights again, but only to transport goods in and out of Vietnam. The flights that carry passengers to Vietnam are carried out with the permission of the authorities, the passengers are citizens with difficult circumstances, experts, businessmen, high-tech workers … cups from the epidemic room.
In September, the government allowed the airline industry to resume commercial flights to six countries and territories. However, airlines can only pick up passengers from Vietnam one way, not pick up passengers from the other side because there is no process of controlling the epidemic with people entering.
In early December 2020, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc continued to request to stop commercial flights to welcome guests to Vietnam, only to conduct rescue flights for difficult and really necessary people. Passengers on all return flights must be quarantined for 14 days.
