According to the National Steering Committee for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19 Diseases, the 8 new cases are Vietnamese citizens returning from abroad.Immediately after entering the provinces of Hung Yen (02), Tien Giang (01), Hoa Binh (02), Quang Ninh (02) and Bac Lieu (01).
Case 1475 (BN 1475) registered in Hung Yen province: female, 62 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
Case 1476 (BN 1476) registered in Hung Yen province: male, 31 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province.
Two BN 1475 and 1476 from Germany entered Van Don airport on flight VN5036 on December 18, 2020, isolated in Hung Yen province just after their entry.
Test results for the first time on December 23, 2020 were negative; Taking samples for the second time on December 31, 2020, test results on January 1, 2021 at the Hung Yen Province Center for Disease Control were positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Case 1477 (BN 1477) registered in Tien Giang province: female, 34 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Chi Linh district, Hai Duong province.
Patients from Taiwan entered Can Tho Airport on flight QH9511 on December 30, 2020, isolated in Tien Giang province immediately after entry. Test results on January 1, 2121 at the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at Long Dinh Field Hospital, Tien Giang Province.
Case 1478 (BN 1478) registered in Hoa Binh province: male, 29 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Phu Tho city, Phu Tho province.
Case 1479 (BN 1479) registered in Hoa Binh province: male, 48 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province.
Two BN 1478 and 1479 from France entered Van Don airport on flight VN0018 on December 31, 2020, isolated in Hoa Binh province just after their entry.
Test results dated 1-1-2021 at the Hoa Binh Province Center for Disease Control came back positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are in isolation and treated at Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital.
Case 1480 (BN 1480) registered in Quang Ninh province: female, 35 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province.
Case 1481 (BN 1481) registered in Quang Ninh province: male, 29 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi city.
Two patients 1480-1481 from France entered Van Don Airport on flight VN0018 on December 31, 2020, isolated in Quang Ninh province shortly after their entry.
Test results dated 1-1-2021 at the Quang Ninh Province Center for Disease Control came back positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Case 1482 (BN 1482) registered in the province of Bac Lieu: male, 32 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in the district of Ia Pa, province of Gia Lai.
Malaysian patients entered Can Tho airport on flight BL188 on December 31, 2020, isolated in Bac Lieu province just after entry. Test results on 2-1-2021 at the Bac Lieu Province Center for Disease Control came back positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Bac Lieu Provincial General Hospital.
With these 8 new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now increases to 1,482 cases. Today is the 32nd consecutive day that our country does not register cases in the community.
