The scene of the incident was at the end of this pipeline, near the area of the hydroelectric plant, which caused the groundwater to overflow into the area of the slope near the hydroelectric plant, causing the safety risk of the plant.
In the short term, the A Luoi hydroelectric plant will suspend power generation after closing the tunnel and the 12 km long pressure pipeline that carries water from the main dam to create a hydroelectric lake on the A Sap river.
Mr. Phan Thanh Hung, Chief of the Rescue and Information Command Office, said that this incident is basically not dangerous for the project or for the surrounding areas. The water in the A Luoi hydroelectric reservoir has been regulated on the spill to verify and propose solutions to overcome the above problem.
After the incident, the leaders of the A Luoi District People’s Committee went to the A Luoi Hydroelectric Power Plant to check and discuss solutions to fix the problem.
A Luoi Hydropower, invested by Central Hydropower Joint Stock Company, began construction on the A Sap River since 2007, including 2 units, installed capacity of 170 MW, capacity corresponding to the normal rise of the water level is 60.2 million m3, operating and generating electricity since 2012.
Not sure if anyone backs Thuong Nhat hydropower plant or not? (OLP) – At the meeting, the delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce initially stated that this hydroelectric plant was storing water despite the orders of the Provincial Fire Control and Rescue Command.
