On December 31, the police in Ben Cat town, Binh Duong province, initially reported that a serious murder occurred in Lo O village, An Tay commune, in the afternoon of the same day, causing 3 deaths and 4 wounded.
“Initially, the police arrested a suspect and continue to clarify the case,” said a representative of the Ben Cat town police.
The identity of the arrested suspect is Nguyen Thanh Hung (34, from Phu An Commune, Ben Cat Town).
According to police verification, the incident occurred in a restaurant on An Tay 047 street around 1:30 p.m. on the same day.
At that moment, a couple of men and women sat down to eat and talk. The next table is a group of young people drinking, including Nguyen Thanh Hung.
Hung went to the next table to buy beer to “trade” with the couple, but then there was a conflict between the two groups.
Both groups asked for more people to come to the pub and then got into a fight.
At the time of the conflict, Hung used a built-in knife to attack the opposing group. The other group also used three sticks to defend themselves.
In the aftermath of the skirmish, three people died in the hospital with many stab marks, including Thai Trong Huu (20 years old from Kien Giang), Tran Minh Quang (26 years old from Ca Mau), Tran Van Luong (26 years old ). by An Giang).
Four seriously injured people, including Nguyen Tan Luong (21, from An Tay Commune, Ben Cat City), Vo Van Phi (20), Tran Huan Luyen (27, from Kien Giang), and Nguyen Van Hoa (still called Ba Be, 36, from An Tay commune, Ben Cat village).
Currently the police and the prosecution have coordinated to examine the place and take testimony from the people involved to continue clarifying the case.
